The Silken Diagonal Barcelona **** is situated close to the center of the dynamic developing mediterranean city of Barcelona, next to the new Agbar Tower The Glories Shopping Centre is situated not far away from the hotel and offers great shopping opportunity. Due to the well developed network of public transportation the city’s tourist sights can be reached easily. The underground station Plaza de las Glorias and the tram station Trambesós are located only 20 m from the hotel. A bus stop (Line 7, 56, 60, 62, 92 and N7) is situated near to the hotel.

Hotel

The modern exterior and interior of the hotel was designed by Juli Capella. The air-conditioned, 10- storey hotel was opened to the public in 2004. Elevator, wireless Internet, internet corner and secured parking (upon charge). are available. The beautiful restaurant and terrace offer the specialities of the basque and catalan cuisine. The combination of the traditional and modern tastes makes the dishes more special. The guests can enjoy live music at the piano bar. Breakfast can be consumed at the Tecla Café, which is suitable for small friendly meetings as well. A real speciality of the hotel is the pool, which is situated on the top of the building from where you get enjoy a unique view of the city. Pets are not allowed.

Rooms

According to the latest trends, the Confort Rooms are furbished with modern furniture made of wood (writing desk, chairs) and can be characterised by the combination of the colors black and white. The rooms are soundproof and have a glass-walled bathroom of avant-garde style (bathtub, hairdryer), plasma TV (with satellite channels), telephone, minibar, safe, individually adjustable air-conditioning system. The Silken Club Rooms are more spacious and most of them have a view of the Agbar Tower and are equipped with LAN Internet and VIP accessories (bathrobe, slippers). The Diagonal Corner Rooms are ideal for a long stay and offer a fascinating view of the city (rooms on higher floors have a view of the see). These rooms are more spacious than the Confort Rooms, their bathroom is equipped with a hydromassage bath and a separate shower. The Suites are situated on the highest floors of the hotel offering an enchanting panorama and consist of a bedroom and a living room (couch, armchair, coffee table). Their bathrooms are equipped with a hydromassage bath and a separate shower. Non-smoking rooms and rooms for the disabled are available from the Confort Rooms. Room service can be requested from 07:00am to 23:00pm.
