Barcelona Airport (BCN) is located 12 kilometres (7.5 miles) south-west of Barcelona city centre. An increasingly popular city break and business destination, Barcelona Airport handles a large number of domestic and international flights. (akár átírható)
Barcelona Airport has three terminals:
Terminal A: for foreign airline departures and international arrivals
Terminal B: serves Spanish airline departures and European Union arrivals
Terminal C: for Air Shuttle flights and General Aviation
-You must always carry your driving licence plus an other form of identification. Also carry the insurance policy and car documents.
- Right of Way belongs to main roads. In all other cases traffic coming from the right has priority.
- Maximum speed limits: Built-up areas: 50km, Main roads: 100km, Motorways: 120km.
- Motorways: Tolls are payable on the majority of motorways-credit cards are accepted.
- Driving offences: Fines for a traffic offence are payable on the spot. These can be particulary heavy for speeding and omitting to use seat belts. Police must give a receipt for the amount of fine paid.
- Drinking & Driving: Spanish laws provide for on the spot fines or imprisonment if the offence is serious.
The three main highways to get to Barcelona
A7 – coming from France, via Girona
A2 – coming from Madrid, via Zaragoza
A16 – coming from the south, via Valencia and Tarragona
The main ring roads in Barcelona “Ronda de Dalt” in the north of the city, “Ronda Litoral” in the south.
The two main roads into the city center are “Avenida Diagonal” and “Avenida Meridiana”.
The two main stations serving Barcelona are Estaciós (stations) Sants and França. Sants services destinations in Spain and a few international trains, while most long distance trains (from Geneva, Milan, Paris and Zurich) depart from Estació França.
Estació del Nord handles buses to most major Spanish cities as well as hosting international buses run by Eurolines/Linebús and Starbus. Location: Carrer d'Alí Bei near the Arc de Triomf metro station.
The Estació d'Autobuses de Sants near the Sants train station handles buses to Montserrat and international services operated by Eurolines/Julià Via.
